Amy Morgan - Legislative Candidate District 11
Public education is front and center at our house. We have plenty of lawyers, realtors, and professional politicians in our legislature; we don’t need more. What we DO need is someone in touch with life's realities… someone that lives on a budget; that helps with homework; that hurts for sick friends and neighbors and knows what it’s like to be under insured; someone that listens, that has logic and common sense, and that is not influenced by lobbyist dollars or big time donors. I am that someone.
I was born at the “old” McKay-Dee Hospital and raised in Brigham City. My husband and I were married in 1997. We moved our family from Salt Lake to Washington Terrace in 2004 and have no plans to ever leave District 11! We have four great kids, ages 17, 16, 12, and 8. I am a designer and own my own small business. I am absorbed in church service and enjoy other opportunities to be involved in the community, but I spend much of my time at my children’s schools and have come to know and love our teachers. We have two children in high school, one in junior high, and one in elementary school.
